  •  Do I need an appointment for an eye exam?
    Yes, we recommend booking an appointment to ensure timely service. We do accept walk-ins when possible, but scheduled appointments receive priority.

 

  • How often should I get an eye exam?
    Adults should have an eye exam every 1–2 years. If you have a family history of eye disease, diabetes, or wear contact lenses, yearly exams are best. Kids and seniors also benefit from annual checkups.

  • What’s the difference between an optometrist and an optician?
    Our Doctors of Optometry performs comprehensive eye exams and diagnoses eye conditions. Our licensed opticians help you choose the perfect frame and lenses based on your prescription and lifestyle.

  • Do you offer direct billing for insurance?
    Yes! We offer direct billing to most major insurance providers, including Sun Life, Manulife, Blue Cross, and others. Just bring your insurance card to your appointment.

  • How long does an eye exam take?
    A full eye exam usually takes 20–30 minutes. If you need additional testing or contact lens fitting, it may take a little longer.

  • Can I get my glasses the same day?
    We offer same-day 1hour service on select single-vision lenses, depending on availability at our both locations. Complex or progressive lenses typically take a few business days.

  • Do you carry designer frames?
    Yes! We carry a wide selection of premium designer brands. Our curated collection blends quality, style, and comfort.

  • Do you offer Transitions® lenses?
    Absolutely. We offer Transitions® light-adaptive lenses as an upgrade option on many prescriptions. They darken outdoors and remain clear indoors—perfect for day-to-day convenience.

  • Can I reuse my current frames for new lenses?
    In many cases, yes. We’ll inspect your frames to ensure they’re in good condition and can accommodate the new lenses.

  • Do you offer contact lens fittings?
    Yes, we provide professional contact lens fittings for first-time and experienced wearers, including specialty lenses such as Scleral Lenses, Ortho-K, MiSight®, multifocal and astigmatism lenses.

  • Do you offer children's eye exams and glasses?
    Yes. We provide pediatric eye exams, Myopia control and carry a durable, stylish selection of frames for kids. Vision care for children is essential for learning and development.​

  • Do you offer OCT scans (Optical Coherence Tomography)?
    ​Yes, we offer OCT scanning as an optional advanced diagnostic tool. OCT allows us to detect early signs of eye diseases like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy, often before any symptoms appear.

 

  • Can I bring my own prescription to buy glasses?
    Yes, you can! We accept valid prescriptions from any licensed optometrist. Just bring your prescription, and our team will help you choose the perfect frame and lenses based on your needs and style. If your prescription is expired, we’ll be happy to schedule a new eye exam for you.

    The "See Better to Succeed" (Mieux voir pour réussir) program is a Quebec government initiative that provides financial assistance of $300 toward the purchase of prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses for children. One reimbursement every 2 years per child. Our team will help guide you through the process.
     

  • Can I buy prescription sunglasses at your clinic?
    Yes, we offer a wide selection of prescription sunglasses for adults and children. You can combine your prescription with stylish sun protection perfect for driving, sports, or everyday outdoor wear.
     

  • Do you work with Securovision for safety glasses?
    Yes, we collaborate with Securovision, a trusted supplier of high-quality safety eyewear. This partnership allows us to offer a wide range of Securovision safety glasses that meet strict safety standards and can be fitted with your prescription lenses for optimal protection and comfort.
     

  • I have an eye emergency can you help?
    Yes. If you're experiencing an eye emergency, such as sudden vision loss, eye injury, infection, flashes of light, floaters, or severe eye pain — contact us immediately. Our optometrist is trained to handle urgent eye care situations, and we will do our best to accommodate same-day emergency appointments. If your condition is severe and we’re closed, please go directly to the nearest hospital emergency room or call Info-Santé 811. Your vision is important don’t wait.
