We believe that understanding your coverage should be simple. At OPTO V Optometrists, we work with most major insurance providers and are happy to help you make the most of your benefits.
RAMQ Coverage

Eye exams for certain patients are covered by the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ), including:
• Children 17 and under
• Adults 65 and over

If you are unsure whether you qualify for RAMQ coverage, our team will verify your eligibility at the time of your appointment. Please bring your valid RAMQ health insurance card to every visit.
Private Insurance Plans

We accepts most major private insurance plans, including:
• Sun Life
• Canada Life
• Desjardins
• Blue Cross
• Manulife
​
Most group insurance plans cover a portion of your eye exam, prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, and contact lens fittings. Coverage amounts and frequencies vary by plan — we recommend checking your benefits booklet or contacting your insurer before your appointment.
We provide official receipts for all services, which you can submit directly to your insurer for reimbursement.
How It Works
1. Book your appointment online or by phone.
2. Bring your insurance card and RAMQ card to your visit.
3. Our team will confirm your coverage before your exam.
4. We provide a detailed receipt after your visit for reimbursement.
